THIS IS WHY...

WE LIFT OUR HANDS:

"Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name." (Ps 63:4)

"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord." (Ps 134:2)

"I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands without wrath and doubting." (1 Tim 2:8)

WE SING IN THE SPIRIT:

"...I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also." (1 Cor 14:15)

"Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of saints." (Ps 149:1)

WE DANCE BEFORE THE LORD:

"Let them praise his name in the dance:" (Ps 149:3)

"Praise him with the timbrel and dance:" (Ps 150:4)

WE CLAP OUR HANDS:

"O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph." (Ps 47:1)

WE HAVE THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST WITH THE EVIDENCE OF SPEAKING IN TONGUES:

"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:" (Mt 3:11)

"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth." (Acts 1:8)

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing might wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4)

"He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself" (1 Cor 14:4a)

WE HAVE SPEAKING IN TONGUES & THE INTERPRETATION IN THE CHURCH:

"Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy and do not forbid speaking in tongues." (1 Cor 14:39)

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal...to another divers kings of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues." (1 Cor 12:7, 10)

"If anyone speak in an unknown tongues, let it be by two or at the most three and that by course, and let one interpret." (1 Cor 14:27)

WE PROPHESY:

"But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort." (1 Cor 14:3)

"But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal...to another the working of miracles; to another prophecy." (1 Cor 12:7, 10)

WE ANOINT WITH OIL AND LAY HANDS ON THE SICK:

"Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him." (James 5:14-15)

"...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover." (Mk 16:18)

PEOPLE FALL UNDER THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT:

"...then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God." (2 Chron 5:13-14)

"And when I saw him [Jesus], I fell at his feet as dead." (Rev 1:17)

"And he fell to the earth and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest me." (Acts 9:4)

"As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground." (Jn 18:6)

IS THIS STUFF STILL FOR TODAY?

Yes! Absoulutely, because:

"For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven."(Ps 119:89)

"For I am the Lord, I change not;" (Mal 3:6)

"For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us." (2 Cor 1:20)

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." (Heb 13:8)
